In 1982, the Canberra Bahá'í community was one of five communities asked by the Universal House of Justice to host a conference in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the death of Bahiyyih Khánum. Greg and Malini performed this song for the opening of this conference. |
Writen for a national Baha'i Teaching Conference in Mildura in 1983. Greg performed this song with Jeannie Mazindarani. The words were based on the idea of the term 'army of light' coined by Shoghi Effendi, Guardian of the Baha'i Faith. It has become something of an anthem in Western Australia!
One of Greg's more obscure reflections! Download the lyric sheet to get an explanation of the lyrics :)

Me and Elroy | Written by our good friend Gary Olsen. Gary is from the United States and this song recalls a conversation, at a time when the civil rights movement was in full swing, between Gary and Elroy, who was an African American. |
We Are One | Somehow this song got a life of its own! To quote from the famous Blues Brothers movie, the music became "both kinds, country AND western." Yee Ha! |

Tahirih was a famous poetess of the Baha'i Era. A champion of woman's rights she inspired the Suffragette movement. The opening words of the songs are Persian. Greg sings "Qurratu' alyn", a title of Tahirh's which means 'solace of the eyes, a tribute to her physical beauty. |
William | Written by Grant Hinden Miller. A well known Baha'i song writer from New Zealand. |
Reflecting | Have you ever had one of those moments when you think you have lost your spiritual way? I think I'm having one now! This song is about thiose moments and yearning to return to the straight path. |
Ambiguous | Sometimes I would tell someone about the Baha'i Faith and then I would go home and have a process review. I often found myself reflecting on the confused responses I got as I tried to fill someone up wih everything I had learne dover the years in a few minutes! So I am kind of scolding myself here! |
O My Lord | A prayer by Baha'u'llah. The music was composed by someone who has, inadvertently I'm sure, inspired me to pursue my artistic endeavours. He is a great guy and a wonderful musician: Tom Price. Malini and I reconnected at the Price household inSydney in 1986 and married soon after. |
